Reus, 1943

I started taking photos at the age of twelve, when I was at fifteen years old I made 8mm amateur movies, I was awarded on both things, I am self-taught.

My style is  humanist, documentary. I am shooting the life, the moments, and storytelling. Mainly with Black and White 35mm film I process and I do the copies myself in my darkroom.

I have exhibited on collective and individual exhibitions in Barcelona, I.C.P. New York,  Chicago. Known as the “Invisible Photographer”, by Dr. Ted Grant for my discretion and fast action. Awarded for amateur movies restored by “Filmoteca Nacional” actually consigned in “Mas Iglesias Center of image”.

Professionally Manager in several Companies as Engineer and MBA.

For me photography is not a game or fun, but my way of expressing, feeling and communicating.

I have published eight photography books and you can see and buy them here: http://www.blurb.com/user/luisrq
