Miquel Dewever-Plana



Born in Paris in 1961. Photojournalist since 1995. He is the author of several works, including: Between two waters; The other war; Soul; Hach Winik; The truth under the earth and Mayas (all edited by Blume); as well as the web documentary: Alma, Daughter of Violence and the series for French television: des Juliettes & des Roméos ”(those last two with Isabelle Fougère). He has received numerous awards and scholarships, including the 1st Prize of the World Press Photo, the IDFA at the International Documentary Festival of Amsterdam, the Visa d’or at the International Festival of Photojournalism Visa Pour l’Image, the Joan Alsina Prize of Human Rights awarded by the Casa América Cataluña, the Getty Grants for Editorial Photography (New York), the Journalism and Human Rights Award at the International Festival of Photojournalism of Gijón and the grant to support contemporary documentary photography CNAP granted by the ministry of French culture.
