Photobook editing
Keep thinking about publishing your own photobook? ¡FUTURE IS NOW!
with Inés Casals, curator & graphic designer
The session
Moving from the documentary photographic project to the photobook requires more than two eyes and two hands! At Photographic Social Vision we have been working with storytellers for 16 years, helping them to shape their stories and find their audiences. Here you will find the objective sight that your photobook needs during its edition.
The comprehension and reading of the book will depend directly on the photographic edition prior to the layout, so it will be essential to make a good choice of the order and disposition of the photographs. Get guided by an expert with a critical and objective look. The book editing sessions are intense and constructive, and manage to give the stories the necessary twist to become a photobook that becomes a faithful speaker of the project.
With the expert we will work:
What is and what is not a photobook
Styles and typologies
Origin of the genre
Ideas, fashions, formats and trends
Writing complementary texts
Photographers authors of photobooks
Photographic edition
Graphic design
Layout
Print
Editorial communication and sales
Budgets
