One more time, the World Press Photo 2020 exhibition in Barcelona brings to our city the winning images of the most prestigious photojournalism contest and the winning works of its digital narrative contest, which in both cases are usually unpublished in our country. In addition, this is one of the few World Press Photo exhibitions in the world that showcases the Digital Narrative winning works, betting on interactivity and giving value to multimedia works. Get to know the winners of  the World Press Photo 2020 Awards, at this link!

Organized by the Photographic Social Vision Foundation, with the support of the Fundació Banc Sabadell, the World Press Photo 2020 exhibition will be based at the CCCB, co-producer of the exhibition in Barcelona. This sixteenth edition will be open from the 13th of November to the 20th of December.

Guided tours to improve your experience!

This year, the exhibition has been postponed from spring to autumn, due to the crisis caused by the outbreak of COVID-19. But from the Foundation we have made an effort to maintain it, guaranteeing compliance with health regulations, in close collaboration with the CCCB, and reducing the capacity of the exhibition space, so that it can be visited at ease and in full comfort. So this year, Barcelona becomes one of the few cities around the world that will host this important international exhibition.

One of the special characteristics of the Barcelona exhibition, in relation to those in other cities, is that it goes beyond the mere observation of the winning works, as it is complemented with specially recommended guided tours, aimed at schools, companies and the general public, with which Photographic Social Vision enriches the experience, delving into the themes that the exhibition encompasses and illustrating about the nuances of photographic language, as well as the values and challenges of current photojournalism. UPDATE: Due to the latest restrictions in Catalonia, guided tours for the general public, companies and entities are canceled until further notice, but those for schools in duly controlled bubble groups remain.

Traditionally, the Foundation also offers a wide program of parallel activities open to the public. And, although the context caused by the pandemic will not allow them to be held in their usual format, their absence will be widely compensated by a firm commitment to the digital format, which for the first time will allow you to enjoy online exclusive content: we will offer online guided tours through Filmin, open for subscribers and for rent for non-subscribers of this platform, as well as various exclusive content through a specific website for World Press Photo Barcelona.

In the coming days, we will give more details about all the news of this edition and we will put on sale the tickets for the exhibition and the guided visits. We will inform promptly through this website, the social networks of the Photographic Social Vision Foundation and the Facebook profile World Press Photo Exhibition Barcelona.

Thank you for your trust and support to this non-profit initiative, which allows the Photographic Social Vision Foundation to fulfill its social mission.
